  1. Anne, I have just read all of your archives. I will say that I am sure your Mother is watching over your shoulder and is so proud of who you are, your work, and your dedication to your family. I, too, just fed a homeless man last week. I am sure he wanted money for another reason, but it felt great to give him a meal to enjoy. Your memories of your family, childhood, and experiences are very inspiring. Thank you so much for taking the time to write, and capture, your thoughts and feelings. Love, Linda Walsh Joseph

    • Linda, you just made tears come to my eyes. I miss my mom, as I’m sure you miss yours. Thank you for the compliment and for taking the time to read my blogs.

  2. Anne- So excited to find your blog! I went to James Madison while your aunt Reba was principal. She was a great lady. One I have a lot of respect for. I have a page about the school that I think you will enjoy. I left the info below. On this page you will find many that have fond memories of Mrs. Robinette 😉 This includes my brother’s whom I believe have their names on that paddle. lol Anything you decide to share with us would surely be a blessing.

    • Thanks, Debbie. Just out of curiosity, how did you find my blog? I hope the tags are helping…I’m learning about search engine optimization. Thanks for your kind comments and for reading my blog. It has lately turned into a lot of reminiscing about growing up in Kingsport. I mostly write about experiences with family and friends. Need to discipline myself to blog on more of a schedule. Hard to manage with a day job and other responsibilities, but other folks do it…

  3. I looked up my French teacher whom I loved, Ms. Leibman. I attended Dickson Elementary School with three of my siblings

    • Hi, Donna. Yes, Mrs. Leibman was a great teacher. Her son, Chris, lives in Santa Fe now, as far as I know. We’re Facebook friends, but he rarely posts. I remember you! Did we graduate the same year from D-B, or were you a year or so ahead of me? I graduated in ’76. I think you might have had my mom for 6th grade?
